The bay offers 14 species of game fish. It is the major sport fishing area on Lake Superior. Although Lake Superior seldom freezes over, Mother Nature provides ample ice on Chequamegon Bay for excellent year ’round fishing.

Chequamegon Bay is also one of the best area in the Upper Midwest for wind surfing.
